Well, it has returned. Cyan Worlds has been working on open sourcing their code, and as a first step, they have started up a Myst Online: Uru Live shard as part of their MOULagain project.
And best of all, it's free. So if you always wondered what the fuss was about, you can play it for free now. If nothing else, you get access to the game as it was a few years ago. And who knows, you might find a new home...
