vaxjediSo, I have reached a level of small town infamy.
So I am going to the local Safeway in the small town I live near currently to pick up a few things.
I've been here a lot and I recognize the cashier. As she is ringing me up, she asks "I hope you don't mind me asking, but is that your lucky shoe?"
Editor's Note: if you don't know, my shoes don't match. I wear one white and one black.
I tell her no and that it's just something that I do - I've been doing it since high school.
She says, "Oh, a lot of us have been talking about it and some of us thought it was like your lucky shoe or something."
So, I am a topic of discussion at the local Safeway.

She was trying to find socks formirimouse because her toes were getting cold. She grabbed the first stuff she found which were a black sock and a white sock. She put them on Miri and Miri looked down at them, got a big smile on her face and said "DADA!"

The next time someone asks if one of them is your lucky shoe just say "No -- I lost the lucky one and had yto replace it."
