Woo hoo! I got the job!
I start working at GTS on April 27th. Much better pay, half the distance to work, and a better environment with actual chances of advancement!

check out target. they have stuff up to like 3 or 4x and we get shirts for kirt for under $15 each. def. worth it.

Trust me, man, there are plenty of funky button-down shirts I think you'd like. Just get a few of those and a couple pairs of nice pants and you're good to go.

I totally understand the dress code worries. I only have clothes appropriate for work because my dad's girlfriend's a shopaholic who's close to my size.
One of my tricks - somewhat tatty pants look worlds better pressed. I know it sounds stupid, but someting about ironing them gives them a look of polish no amount of mending can offer. Of course, like all my suggestions, it may be worth what you're paying for it :)
