I seem to be 93rd out of the whole SciFi category. That's kinda cool.

I want to write more Raptured stories. I just havent had the time or energy.

One of the things about the Raptured is that they intuitively know a language. In the initial story, I call it the Glyphs. I have a better name for it now: Sinnish.

I think I want to design Sinnish. Sort of a Tolkien-esque exercise. I have some basics in down. I want to play with Sapir-Whorf a bit and make it a language in which sexual concepts are easy to express. Maybe I'll go like Latin and have special verbs for all sorts of sexual acts - like the Eskimos and snow.

As for the sound, it should be sensual. Talking in Sinnish should sound like you are seducing someone, even if you are talking about the weather. It needs to be coy and enticing, but with the option of being intense and explosive. I'm thinking lots of sonorant consonants and lengthened vowels. Like a whispering Italian.

I'd want the actual text to be a sort of mesh between Arabic and Chinese. Glyphic like Chinese, but with curves. If I could I'd want the glyphs to be as sensual as the sound. But the glyphs would indicate the nature of the sound - it wouldnt be just an arbitrary glyph. You could look at a brand new glyph and say it.

Hmmm... I dont know where to go now. I'll keep thinking. But now I sleep.
