I had actually set my clock to watch Meet the Press last Sunday. Not because Cheney was going to be the guest; in fact, I was disappointed that they'd gotten him, of all possible people. But I wanted to get back into Sunday morning news programs, because they are the best avenues for the political layperson.
I was amazed at how many lies Cheney repeated, things that had been called into question by many people, including experts. I love how now, in the wake of the interview, the White House has had to publicly admit to the general public that there really isn't a link between Saddam and 9/11.
What Bush and his advisors don't seem to understand is that rhetoric alone cannot run a government.
